Our Home is our Client's Castle!

It's no secret that Ryan Designer Homes love building unique and special homes! And it's important to recognize that the reason we get to do so is because some very special clients engage us to build their dreams!

We walk through the new home design and build process 'with' our clients. We encourage their ideas, incorporate preferences for their lifestyle, and maximize the design to satisfy their needs and wants in both form and function.

This month we extend our appreciation to Marilyn and Arnold Kopff for entrusting us with their confidence to build their new Sunshine Coast residence. While Kopff's were in the Blue Mountains preparing for their move north, we busied ourselves to prepare their new home and welcome them to Queensland.

Kopff's are among a growing list of clients from out of state who engage us to build their homes before they make their move to the coast.

Building for Special Clients Reaps Rewards

Coming from Western Europe, we needed to gain a better understanding of how living in a sub-tropical environment impacts your lifestyle behaviour. Hence, we rented on the Sunshine Coast for a couple of years, before we were ready to build.

The outcome of building beautiful designer homes for astute clients happens to be a growing number of award winning homes. And for this we want to acknowledge our wonderful clients who recognize the benefit of letting us oversee and manage their new home project.

It's often clients who help to bring out the best in us through invigorating new ideas. To fulfil their hopes and dreams we learn to reach higher.

Two top home building awards for Ryan Designer Homes were announced this month, October 2010: 

1. Master Builders 2010 Queensland State Individual Home $751,000 - $1m
2. HIA 2010 Sunshine Coast/Wide Bay Housing Project of the Year

O Display Home Progress

Ryan Designer Homes exciting new O Display home is progressing well while awaiting some materials still to arrive from overseas.

The flooring is down, kitchen is in, and the sky is still purposely open to view! You'll be able to star gaze from the privacy of your own home. We expect to be open for your viewing in November... we'll let you know an exact date in the coming weeks.

Arnold & Marilyn Kopff

After we sold our boutique  software engineering  business in Sydney... our  decision to live on the  Sunshine Coast was an  easy one.

Family life: 
We wanted a home that  allowed us to live the  Sunshine Coast lifestyle  to the fullest - living as  much outside as in - and  with ample space so that  our grown up children and  their children can visit for  holidays without ever  crowding us. Arnold still  writes software for a living  and these days he
works from home; one of  our guest rooms is his  office and it comes  complete with its own  panoramic view over the  swimming pool and in the middle distance, the  bushland fringing the  Peregian Springs golf  course.

Hobbies:
 Marilyn is a keen amateur  photographer and a very serious shopper, and in his spare time Arnold  enjoys making short films. Living on the  Sunshine Coast fulfils our shared  interest in photography  and the proximity to Noosa's Hasting Street  fashion boutiques is an  added bonus for Marilyn :).

Home Highlight:
Our ambition in building  our dream home was to  make a small "architectural statement"  of our own, and Ryan's  Bauhaus-inspired design helped us achieve that.

Every great design  exhibits one very  important attribute -  conceptual integrity - and  our Ryan Designer home  has a full measure.
