O Display Home

The next display home, simply called O Display, will endeavour to give as much joy and inspiration to visitors as it's predecessors.

With a name like O, you might have guessed it is designed in a circle. And you might still be wondering what that means for a home! Well it means a beautiful private indoor outdoor living experience to savour as your sanctuary.

And not only does the O also symbolize the wonderful circle and fullness of life, but the design team on this have cleverly incorporated the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water.

With final details just days away, stay in touch with Cath to get the updates.

UDIA Shares Positive News

At the recent Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) two interesting and optimistic reports were shared:

  1. Economist Saul Eslake gave his short to medium term outlook for the Australian economy. The way he sees it,  the worst of the GFC is behind us and Australia should continue to enter a "U" shaped recovery rather than a "V" or "W" shaped economic event. He also expects the cash rate to finish the year at 4.5%.
  2. Michael Ivey, CEO of Mitchel Brandtman, Quantity Surveyors and Construction Cost Managers, also had good news to report. Their research indicates that downward pressure will remain on construction costs throughout 2010.

"The idea of starting our home design process with a blank piece of paper was absolutely the best thing to do! That’s been a really good experience.

Our biggest concern was being so far away during the building process, but it’s worked out great. Living overseas and building with Ryan Designer Homes has been really easy.

In deciding to build with Ryan Designer Homes we felt very comfortable because we trust them. We have seen the work they do, and the awards they’ve won, and we know they have standards to maintain. We feel very confident that they will meet both ours and their own expectations."

Thank you to Ryan Designer Homes!

Kevin Swift
Finishing Supervisor

Kevin has worked with Ryan Designer Homes for 7 years, and says it's the best job he's ever had.

As serendipity would have it, he was looking for a job change when he met Ryan Designer Homes Site  Manager, Doug. He was hired, and his few days a week of doing odds and ends quickly changed to full time employment.

Kevin first attained his Builders License in 1974. Now, his Supervisors Licence and soft touch keep all the Tradies in hand.

Family:

Kev enjoys the Bribie lifestyle with his wife of 41 years, Cheryl,
and commutes daily to the Ryan Designer Homes building sites.

Two sons with two grandkids live on the Sunshine Coast. His sons both working in various aspects of the building industry. Two more grandkids in McKay with his daughter add a bit more sparkle to the family tree for Kevin and Cheryl.

Hobbies:

Favourites are boating and fishing in his cruise craft, up to the top of Moreton, Tangalooma and area. But you might have noticed the weather hasn’t been too cooperative lately! Kev also loves seeing his kids get a lot of enjoyment out of the boat... waterskiing when the calm permits.

Surprise Us:

Kevin is nurturing the dream of joining the grey nomads in the years to come... getting a comfy caravan and travelling around this beautiful country!
